The only engine in the U.K. Mirage is a 1.2 with either manual or CVT automatic gearbox.

And from a visual aspect the only difference from the (up to) 2014 model is the 2015 model has wing mirror mounted indicator repeaters.

Can you fit Miata 15X7s on there? You can get barely used (top teams run fresh tires for qually and the race, so the qually tires are practically new) Spec Miata tires for like $25 a piece. Depending on who you know, you can usually get some used Miata or Civic wheels with them.

So when is Spec Panther or Spec Saturn happening? Jalopnik is sponsoring AER, so who not run some upstart grassroots support races? Ten lap sprints in bone stock Saturn S’ or non-Maurauder/CVPI Panthers should be fun. Allow replacement of certain suspension and brake components with a cheap “spec” item for safety and a spec tire, and this could conceivably be done for less than LeMons since there’s a hard limit for mods.
